mattsk8
Per Lucas' recommendation (thanks BTW) I'm going to get Koni yellow front struts and a set of H&R springs. According to everyone, this should drop my front about 1" (give or take). My question is... do I order the H&R springs for the "w/ leveling suspension", or "w/o self leveling suspension"? My car has Nivomats, but the springs are only available for a FWD car... I'll order the front and rear set and toss the rear springs, keeping the Nivomat shocks in the back. Also... do I order the stock strut mounts and bearings for a 99 V70r? Or... a FWD Volvo (are they different?)?
quiksilver
Leveling is only in the rear, that you're going to sell/throw away so it doesn't matter which of the two you buy. Front end is the same for 850s and all S/V/C70s, there shouldn't be a difference.
mattsk8
Thanks! I'll order up then...
mattsk8
Ended up going with the Koni Yellows and Eibach springs instead of the H&R... H&R springs are on backorder with no manufacture date, so no idea when I might see them.
Boost3237
Shame, of all the different springs I've used H&R's were the best IMO. Can you post some feedback on the eibachs when possible?

Can you post some feedback on the eibachs when possible? Definitely. I'll try to post a before and after pic, but I'm not sure if it's because I didn't pay this year or what... it won't let me upload pics anymore, I can copy and paste, but the pics look retarded when I do that. So... if the site really is that f'ing dumb, then I definitely won't pay. And I'm pretty sure it is the site because before my subscription expired I was still having all kinds of problems (which is actually what led to me not paying anymore). Either way, I'll definitely report back on ride quality before and after.
Commander Riker
The H&R's are only for the front. I don't believe they make AWD rear springs. Did you get a full set going with Eibach? http://www.ebay.com/itm/H-R-93-99-Volvo-850-Wagon-Sport-Lowering-Springs-w-o-self-leveling-not-AWD-29955-/322501748397?fits=Make%3AVolvo|Model%3AV70|Submodel%3AAWD&hash=item4b169a26ad:g:Ny4AAOSwX61ZB9Fc&vxp=mtr

Tire Rack said they didn't know when or even if if H&R was making more, so they didn't want to attempt to order (or back order) any. Sooooo... I went with the Eibachs instead. tuner4life
So does anyone at all make lowering springs for the rear of an AWD P80? Not opposed to using drop bolts on the Nivos, or possibly swapping to the Euro R setup, but it would be nice to just buy something that works if I'm stuck buying a complete set anyways. Also, minor threadjack, but are IPDs still the lowest springs you can get for the front of a P80 without getting coilovers?
andyb5
Viva Performance sells the TME lowering spring kit that fits the AWD vehicles. The TME setup is a relatively mild drop and a fair bit more expensive than the other spring options. IPDs are the lowest, yeah.
