sunroof not seating properly

My sunroof does not close properly.  When it slides forward, the front edge sits slightly higher than the roof, and therefore causes a lot of noise while I'm driving.  If I tip the sunroof up, the front edge sits down slightly below the roof line.  I have been driving it like this, with the moon roof closed, as this is the most quiet mode I can put it in right now.

I have been told the issue is the moon roof clips, but have removed those and the sunroof still won't settle in properly at the front edge. It does settle in slightly lower than where it was before but still causes quite a bit of noise.  (The moon roof clips were bent in on themselves, as these clips will do.  I removed the front two, which seemed to be the problem.  So, although the moon roof now moves around pretty freely, at least I know that clips aren't what are causing the sunroof to keep from settling in properly.)

So, are my questions,

1) Is my problem really the moon roof clips?  (I simply can't see how added in new ones is going to make a difference to how the sunroof settles in at the front edge when closed.  I do plan on getting the clips and installing them, but would like to eliminate the noise prior to the clips arriving, if at all possible.)

2) If it isn't the clips, can the sunroof be adjusted so the front edge sits a little lower?

Well crap...I've done that already.  I pushed down on the front as hard as I could while tightening the front screws (#18.)  It still sits a bit above level, and makes quite a bit of noise.  I'm going to try to do it again, but with the back screws loose.  Maybe they were keeping the front from dipping down as far as it could.

Is it possible that something is bent, like the track?

By the way, thanks for the chart.
