Digs
First post: I drive a recently acquired 2007 V70 base. It has 16" Echo wheels and TPMS. I prefer the 15" 9 spoke wheels (Lysithia) my 2002 had for the sidewall height. Would the old Lysithias accept TPMS sensors? Do steel wheels (my snow tires) accept TPMS sensors? Also, What happens when the TPMS sensors' batteries die? Is their operating frequency standardized? I hear there is a adaptor tool (electronic option selector box) for them. Has anyone seen instructions for changing TPMS sensors? I know the job is comin' 'round the corner. Thanks
Ihatespeedbumps
Wow, lots of questions here. You can put TPMS sensors in any wheel. When the batteries die the sensors stop communicating, no idea about the frequency. Changing TMPS sensors is easy, just remove the tire.
