Allen L Cramer
I received a P1671 Code on my S70. Last Saturday I replaced the Cam Sensor and as soon as I turn off the code it appears again Can you give me another solution now that I have replaced to Sensor? It all so says out of range. Thanks, Allen.

No, I have had the check engine light on, I think since I had the timing belt changed 6700 miles ago. Thanks for your response. Allen
Ihatespeedbumps
Was the check engine light on right after the timing belt was changed 6,700 miles ago?
troyhyde
Hi Allen, not sure what car you own or which cam sensor you are having an issue with. There is some "play" in the cams, whereby the cam gear can be moved a bit in relation to the cam itself and the sensor can still put the cam where the computer wants it. If the timing belt were put on a tooth off it might be pushing the limits of the correction it can accomplish. I would suggest taking the car back to the shop that performed your timing belt job and tell them to check their work. Bet you ten bucks they didn't do it right...... Likely a tooth off. bmdubya1198
I'm betting the VVT cam gear wasn't properly pre-loaded. Bring it back to the shop that did the timing belt and explain the situation. They should take care of it.
