Boxman
Wondered if anybody had some precise knowledge on what upgraded FPR's are drop-in for the fuel rail on our cars. My 625cc/min injectors are running out of steam at 3 bar. The highest drop-in upgrade I've found across forums so far is the Bosch 0280160260 which should be 3.8 bar. Does anyone have experiences with higher rated FPR's? What does or what doesn't work, assuming you have a fuel pump that's able to play ball? TryingBe
Here is the calculator. http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorcalc1.php Have you done fuel pressure test on your system? The last three 850 turbo fuel pressure regulator I tested say 51psi with no vacuum hose attached, so that actually makes them 3.5bar instead of 3bar. I did the test after I already bought a 4bar regulator (tested at 58psi). With the regulator change, I was expected around 11% increase of fuel, but I only got 5%, basically wasted my money and time. So, if you have not, I would suggest you do a fuel pressure test and fuel volume test while you're at it.
Boxman
Well I was more interested in partnumbers of drop-in FPR upgrades. So if you could share your 4.0 Bar one, would already be nice :) If nothing comes out of that, I'll upgrade to an aftermarket fuel rail and FPR.
