`10 V50 P0100, P2420, P2401 codes

Hiya folks.

Returned to the Volvo fold. My first and second cars (early 70's) were PV 544 and 122S. Now the happy owner of `05 V70 and, until now happy owner of this `10 V50 2.4 NA.

Check engine light out of the blue and I pulled the codes in my title, which point to MAF and Evap  system. The symptoms for these issues I read are hard start, rough and erratic idle and lack of power under load. This 105k miles, V50 starts and idles fine and runs reasonably well with light, rolled on throttle but has distinct bog accompanied by throaty sound from the engine bay when pushed beyond half throttle.

I'm more inclined to suspect the MAF sensor so I pulled it and cleaned it with MAF spray per directions, cleared the codes but had a cel right after it started. Same codes. I suppose a new MAF sensor is the next option as I see that as more likely than an evap system fault causing much of a drivability problem. I could be wrong but I just don't want to start throwing hundred dollar bills at the problem so I'm hoping for some voices of experience to help.

Update and resolution report: 

Since the codes and likelihood pointed to a faulty MAF sensor I started by giving mine a good cleaning with MAF spray and a thorough inspection. Reinstalled it, cleared the codes and saw no improvement. Check engine light returned within seconds of start up. Next I bought and installed a new (same part#) Denso MAF sensor. Still no fix, so in a desperate act I took the V50 to an independent garage that specializes in Euro makes. They had it for 3 days and after discovering no power at the MAF found the fault to be a blown fuse (#35) said to be the "engine management fuse". This car had minimal drivability issues for an engine lacking it's ECM power source. I can only assume it's designed to function in a limp mode that even allows expressway speeds of 70. This almost $300 education taught me that old school troubleshooting techniques have little place in modern automotive diagnostics.
