Domo
I've got codes from vida that all five ignition coils are too low, last week my 2000 v70xc blew the fuse on my wife's car for the coils leaving her on the side of the road. I found coil number five had melted, I replaced all 5 coils and thought I had fixed the problem until today when we felt a misfire at 2000rpm, I checked the codes and found all five reporting signal to low has anyone had this issue? Or an I the first. I'll start by checking the wiring and grounds I guess.
Ihatespeedbumps
I would start by inspecting the wiring harness on top of the engine. It's not unheard to pinch a wire to one of the coils when putting the plastic covers back on.
Domo
I will start there Tonite, what's weird is I haven't touched it in at least a year, I find it strange that searching the web not one person has had this issue I also find it strange that I have a signal too low on all five coils and not just one or two I understand and respect what you are saying about a pinched wire, I hope it is that simple, because after last week seeing it melt a coil I'm feeling a bit nervous
Domo
Inspected coil wiring last night everything looked fine
gdog
Did you check supply voltages (I'm assuming it was the supply voltage that was low?) at the coils? Speculating here, but if the coil got drew enough current to melt it and blow the supply fuse, then it possibly overheated the harness as well giving it a higher resistance than before the incident. The extra resistance would give you a voltage drop.

If i check it should it be reading 12v? I've inspected the harness back to the main loom on top of the trans and everything looks normal. so far
gdog
Again, my post is all conjecture.. What were the actual codes?

Domo
Just to help anyone else that has this issue I changed coils, plugs and inspected and re taped all the wiring for the coils so far so good. no codes since last week

Used or new?
