nik77
Hi My S60 T5 pop up with error codes P0193 (fuel pressure to high) and P0036 (O2 sensor related) Is it safe to drive? Im more concern on P0036 related to 02 sensor. Any possibility this 02 sensor causing lean air-fuel mixture? Thanks
bmdubya1198
I wouldn’t worry about the O2 sensor code. That is about the heater circuit, which may be just a bad O2 sensor. It shouldn’t do any harm. The other code would be my bigger concern. That could be an issue with the fuel pressure sensor. See this thread: http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?121174-P0193-Fuel-Rail-Pressure-Sensor-Circuit-High-Input#/topics/121174
nik77
Thanks. Could the P0193 problem damage the engine? If yes, in what way it could damage the engine? Most of time it difficult to start the engine. Sometimes unstable idle happened I use Ultragauge to reset the code. After reset, it's start normally Thanks
bmdubya1198
Unstable idle sounds like that fuel pressure switch is likely your issue. Especially since you say it runs normally after clearing the codes. It's probably not going to cause any damage, but I would make that a high priority to replace that.
