andyb5
Here’s a unique opportunity to bring your passion for cars out of the garage and into your home! I’m selling a custom-designed table that I make from a Volvo “whiteblock” engine: The base of the table is made from a used Volvo 5 cylinder “whiteblock” engine that has been torn down, cleaned, and painted inside and out. Perched on top of four cylinder head bolts, the table top is an 18” x 24” piece of 1/4” thick acrylic that provides a safe and shatter-resistant surface. The top sits 16” above the floor, which is perfect for a coffee table, or can be used as a low side table like how I use my personal table: The head bolts are drilled and tapped to allow the fasteners for the top to be countersunk into the acrylic for an uninterrupted (and secure) table top: One of my favorite subtle details is the serial number and block variant that is stamped into the block by the factory: Please note that the photos in this ad are of my personal table I have in my living room. This is not the exact table that is for sale. The actual table that is for sale will be identical in appearance, however, is still being made at the time of writing this ad. It will be made from the B5244T block in the picture below: Given it’s unique nature, I’m asking $650 for this table but am open to reasonable offers. If you’re interested, send me a message and we can make a deal. I’m willing to ship the table at the buyer’s expense, however, due to the weight (~70 lbs) of the engine block, I would recommend picking it up in-person - I’m located in Troy NY. Thanks for looking, and if you have any questions, please let me know. Andy
