V70_R Posted May 6, 2005 Report Share Posted May 6, 2005 Well, I bought a downpipe and dual exhaust system from Eurosport Tuning and I tried to get it installed today. I was a little disappointed to find that the dual exhaust system appeared to be nothing more than the 2000 R's OEM exhaust and the downpipe does not fit the car. Of course it's friday, and my car is still on the lift as the mechanics leave for the weekend, I am stuck carless. Sigh.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Perhaps the AWD downpipe does not fit the R model, but I didn't think it would make a difference?I'm in located in Montreal. I emailed Frank already. Hopefully I can get the problem rectified. Though I didn't measure the diameter of the piping.The system you have is the SAM system IIRC. does it have both pipes coming out of the DS muffler like the OEM system. I'm pretty sure it doesn't. The DP, what year R do you have? Did Frank ask you this? It's a very important ? since the three modle years have different turbos and I think the '98s have 2 different exhaust turbine flanges. I'm not entirely sure of the exact fitment problem, I was told over the phone that the angle of the DP was off and that it was hitting the subframe. My dp is running straight into the subframe and rear ds. Hopefully this works out. The exhaust sound OK.Yesterday I also sent Frank a link to this thread.
