tboyko
I have a MTX thunder 404 amp, 50Wx4. I just got some kicks from bing and am using crystal csx615 speakers, rated at 100w peak. According to my amp specifications, i can get 200w if i bridge. Since I'm only powering the kicks right now, I figure it would probably do me some good to bridge and get deeper or better sound quality of of them (is this correct?). I'm confused on how to bridge though. Take a look at the manual:http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/manua...202_282_404.pdfIt seems that they want you to bridge the back two speaker terminals, and i'm assuming you can do the same for the front as well? How would I hook up the RCAs to accomidate this so that my HU when I adjusted left and right, would still correspond correctly?

It means that you have to sacrifice 2 other channels (2ch = 2 speakers) for more wattages.
tboyko
I understand this, but then how do I hook up just two RCAs to the amp and get the signal distributed over all of the terminals? There's an rca for each pair of terminals, and if i change the 4ch to 2ch switch, it mirrors the signal of FL with RL and FR with RR, but i need FL FR and RL RR mirrored, correct? Bing_0
go get two Y adapters...i assume yo uwill use the front channels combined as left, and rear channels combined as right...so, take your left rca cable, split it with a Y, and plug into the front L and R inputs of the amp, and then take your right rca cables, split it, and plug into the rear L and R inputs of the amp...done b
tboyko
I have four RCAs available, what if I just hooked up the four rcas to my HU and the four to my amp, but did it the following wayHU AMPFR--->FRRR--->FLFL---->RLFR--->RRgo get two Y adapters...i assume yo uwill use the front channels combined as left, and rear channels combined as right...so, take your left rca cable, split it with a Y, and plug into the front L and R inputs of the amp, and then take your right rca cables, split it, and plug into the rear L and R inputs of the amp...done b←

tboyko
I'm not sure. I would assume that it would as long as FL and RL put out the exact same signal (assuming i havent adjusted fade)...hmm never really done that...does it work?b←
