Slater
youre's look like this? ←No, nothing like that. The one side is 95% on, just opening up in the center like a split. The other side is the same way but really opened up and cracked/flaked off.Althoguh after seeing that car I think the polished just wouldn't look right; not on a wagon. At least not the way the strips come all the way down to the windshield. Maybe if the car had more chrome bling like an Audi it would look better but I think I'm gonna stick with blackout trim tape...- Slater
Slater
that's basically it. it's hard to get more detailed. pull off the end-cap at the rear window. you can look down the channel, to kind of see how the snaps are. they really are just snaps. use a screw-driver wrapped in cloth, and just slide it along the rail until you feel where the snap is. then just slowly move the rail up. it will snap out. very easy...←OK, that makes sense.Any tips on how to get the rubber coating off? I'm thinking gasoline or acetone and a wire wheel on a drill maybe?

styx0r
I used a razor blade, then sanded the remainder that just wouldn't come off. It took about 1.5 hrs per side, going from 50 grit all the way down to 1500. Rails look smooth, but are not polished to a chrome appearence. I do have chrome wheels, so they may fit in if they are well polished... I should post pics.
