Zappo Posted April 2, 2005 Report Share Posted April 2, 2005 I got my front bar in tonight. It was more difficult than anticipated. However, after doing it once, I can probably do it again in 2.5 hours. Less with help. Was suppose to start at 10am on it, didn't start until 3pm. Had to do a hitch install on a Montero. PITA! By the time that was done it was 2pm. I figured I would finish my ignition stuff while I waited to get into the garage. Finally got my spark plug cover off. I pulled out my first plug and found they were NGK Iridiums! I had no idea, so the previous owner much have installed them. They all looked very good, but I still replaced them with the new coppers I got. I will have test more, but I think my mileage has gone down with the new plugs. I will run them for a few days to be sure, but if it has, I will go back to the iridium plugs. Put new plug wires on while I was at it.Taking out the old bar was a pain, installing the new one went fairly quickly. I haven't had a chance to really test it, but it does feel much stiffer than the old one.Didn't have time to do my silicone vacuum lines though, and probably won't have the time tomorrow.Crap! I just checked the tracking on my package from EST and it was delivered to work today! I won't have time to install! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
