2000 R 50K some odd miles, should I buy?

As most of you know, I buy and sell these for a living but have been looking for a good low mileage 2000 R to keep for a couple of years.

I'm looking at one on Saturday with LOW miles, (50K some odd)!

It's black, (not MY favorite) but my wife loves black and since she would be the primary driver I'm inclined to possibly spend too much money for a good low mileage R

What do you think, should I go against my very fiber, (spend the too much money  ) on what seems to be a really nice one?

After several months of looking I bought my 99R with 51k in June 06 for $15k from a dealer in Chicago. After some of the usual repairs (ABS Mod, oil o-rings, O2 sensor, new tires, blown radiator hose) and adding only a custom air intake, I couldn't be happier.

I'm not married, but I am pretty observant.

Keeping the wife happy always helps!

Even if it's a little more than the higher mileage R's,

Isn't she worth it? And the 2000 usually has all

those cool, wizbang gadgets AND dual tips...

After you get through with it, it should be bullet proof.

The only downside that comes to mind is keeping that

black finish looking good. Just keep up the Wax on, Wax off...

If it passes inspection, Go for it!

She doesn't really care what she drives as long as it drives well.

SHE likes black, I HATE black for the reasons you just said, I like my cars clean ALL the time

SHE doesn't keep it clean, I have to do it

As for this one, EVERYTHING has been done. Early timing belt, 60K service already done. New Cat, 02 sensors, new MAF (under extended warranty) and several other things. 17" Moda R6's along with the Satellites

No dolby :( but it does have a spoiler

Yeah and it's also Laser Blue

what is she going to do with the lexus?

either way, you could probably flip it. you just might not be able to turn it as quickly as you like generally.

mike

Lexus? That POS has been gone for 2 months, (Oct.) took a bath on it.

She's been driving whatever I have around.

Sold her XC out from under her two days ago

(She was driving that nice 98 I had for sale, before that a 2000 XC I had for sale, in the middle that 98 T5 you thought about)
