Guest DougK
how much for a manifold with the flange the exact way and same position as the stock one ?←The OEM position may not be ideal for making a tube header. You'd be better off going with what works best in terms of flow, design and access (to weld up) and a down pipe to match it. Trust me.Learning how to get creative would be a good thing for you chris, it'll put hair on your chest (or your mechanics).

I plan on selling mine and going custom once I can afford the big turbo.
lax01
anyway he could make the intercooler pipes? I doubt any welding would be neccessary, just bending the pipes to the correct angles...I would like to get rid of the soft hoses and just go 100% shiny aluminum... BlackT5
Umm ....they would have to be welded in at least a few places
thedocdm
I'm in for a complete head-back system - ballz to the wallz tube header and all - within the next 12 months for my C70.-Jon

And you definitely want some rubber in there. You don't want to pass along the vibrations of the engine to every weld and bracket in the intercooling system. There are much better places to spend your time/money ;)
lax01
well, I mean, yeah nevermind, I just need to get the SAMCO hoses ones...oh well, no money anyways...
550
well after I get my job I will definetly be up for at the very least a new manifold, provided it fits my 16t :) :)(which I will have at that time)Reverse Ic pipes may be something to have him look into as well, slater...(even with welds)Who knows, but hy that time I may be up for some nice big performance items! 550
Actually Im thinking 3 inch intercooler piping. All the pipes dealing with the turbo go to 3 inch. New intake mani and a bored throttle body to mate up with the 3 inch pipe! MAGNIFICENCE!welll at least the 3 inch piping for the intercooler would be sweet
Guest DougK
Legbend if your going to do a GT28RS dont bother with a built motor, if your going to do a built motor, dont bother with the 28RS go bigger ;)

Some guys do run 2.5" into the IC and 3" to the TB, but you'd have to be pushing a lot of boost to benefit from that setup. Anyways, you're better off putting your money else where. The Supra guys with turbos as big as a steering wheel - now that's another story...- Slater
