The 30730122 part is the kit for 2005-2007 model years. It implies that the kit is not the same from 01-04 and 05-07 so I'd stick with the 30730122. VADIS also shows a software part number of 30752134 is required. The difference between the years is in the harness. The 01-04 uses harness 9499482 and 05-07 uses harness 30730120 (included in the kit)

My dealer claims the software is not required for 2006 & 2007 models. If you plug it in and it does not work, then you probably need the software. AlexD
Thanks. I think I'll stick with my $140 Kenwood sub.I have to say the Volvo sub is very nice, it is well integrated in terms of acoustics, physical appearance and location, in my opinion it was worth the extra bucks. Is it integrated to take some of the low-frequency stress off of the main drivers? Which is to say does anyone know if this system is arranged like a home system that sends certain low-end frequencies to the designated sub channel and then another range to the drivers?Pete is the audio guru (as his $10k speaker cables can attest)... perhaps he can enlighten us.
