Slater
I'm not a big fan of RRFPRs - I think they are bandaid fix.I'm getting a BSR chip upgrade, but am comtemplating if I will be just fine with the stock fueling, or if I need a RRFPR (or bigger injectors instead of the RRFPR).Anyone? prasamin
if you have your stock injectors, then upgrading to bigger ones would do the trick with the higher fuel flow needed with the BSR upgrade....
550
well IIRC the nice thing about getting the chip upgrade is it will add more fuel to compensate for the added boost, and other things.
Bay13
When I did the chip up grade on my 1995 that had over 100K on the clock, I did the following. New Fuel pressure regulator and lines, new fuel pump and sender(I was in the area so the sender I know is upgraded and changed so I did it with the fuel pump), new green injectors.(Injectors used on the 1999V70R and the 2004 S60RAWD, part number 9202100) Now most of that was done because I had the money and was just thinking that a 10 year old car could use some new parts. But..... and there is always a but. I have not yet seen a dyno run posted by members of this forum that was not rich when at wide open throttle, so I'd suspect that the need to upgrade the fuel injectors is not really needed until you can come up with a dyno run or a Wide band O2 sensor recording run that shows a lean condition. I strongly suspect that unless you are going with a VMS or equivilant rebuild of the motor and upgrading to a new greater that a 19T turbo you will not need higher fuel pressure or new injectors the ECU has enough control over injector pulse width to keep things with plenty of fuel. Guest DougK
rrfpr's are the worst bandaid ever concieved.Get the chip, get a wideband. If its lean either remap or upgrade injectors and remap.

That leade me to believe that it's needed...

Guest DougK
No I know that... thats just my thoughts on the situation. If it wasn't for CARB I'd just go straight to EMS on everything ;)
