Serge
Sorta like project ABS boxes sold at many electronic parts places, except in the style of a 1 dim head unit? Bing, do these exist? I am sure they do, just not sure where.

I am sure they do, just not sure where.←What do you have planned?HKS makes one that can be used for DIN gauges or their boost controllers. However, it's $65 for a dang sheet metal box. You can duplicate it pretty easily if you're handy. If you do find one let me know! I would much rather have a project box like you're looking for than the old radio cage I rogged up to work as a gauge holder...Here's a few pics:Here's a few more leads ones that may work for you:http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/din_box.asphttp://www.action-electronics.com/lmb.htmhttp://www.altechcorp.com/HTML/ENCLOSUR.HTMhttp://www.motionnet.com/cgi-bin/search.exe?a=cat&no=3570

Veneficus
I would be down for just a plain box. I loathe the din pocket.

Veneficus
Doors are good. Plain boxes are good. Anything that is 1 piece and does not need additional assembly is good. Additional assembly generally means additional weaknesses.
