Awww come on - and you drove all this way....

Hehehe. Daz will probably claim the same reason as myself. Long way to go, 2 kids and one wife to keep amused, a lot of things to get through once there and the , "you want to meet a complete stranger because he has the same car as us?" :(

*Update*

Saff is now at another workshop due to lack of interest...

Actually this is a good thing because it is now at the place where I bought all of the front end stuff ! this means spare parts are abundant !

See what happens hey !

Well I finally have some good news gents, my Saff is now running !

Got her sent over to my panel shop on Tuesday and naturally I excitedly drove over there after work to check out the head install, wow It was just like Christmas day.... when you were twelve !!

I removed the battery from the 850R that I had bought recently and currently being stored at my smash repairers......yes I couldn't let that one go to the wreckers too...another story shall we say.

I installed the battery, checked the engine oil, topped up the coolant reservoir ,checked for any possible snags with unplugged harnesses and belts then jumped in and fired her up....amazing it starts so easy!

With no front fenders fitted, no hood ,bumper and no brakes except for the E brake I eased her back into the workshop from the carpark, this is officially my first drive of the Saff  I switched her off and started refitting what was ready to go back on, this included the radiator support panel, freshly painted front fenders and the bonnet...she looks beautiful

Sorry no pics right now however I'm heading over there tomorrow to fit the sensor in the brake master, bleed the brakes, fit the rear wing and fit a new distributor cap.

Stay tuned for some happy snaps

Regards Daz

*Update* New tyres fitted today :)

Also fitted my new outer bumper slides to the bumper as the xc70's I got with the scrap xc70 bumpers are different.

And I drove her 7 kilometers using my employers trade licence plate to the service station (gas station).

Now a keen eye would have told me I had the front bumper slides on wrong... thanks guys :P

Hi Trent

Things don't happen very fast when you are good friends with the owner of the panel shop , I'm getting a good deal on the spray job but the downer is they do it when they have nothing else to work on...

Cheers Darrin ;)

Not sure what happened here Trent because the last few post have been deleted (Not By Me)...

Its pretty much a big end bearing so the R is going to a friends house to have it repaired as I can't do it here.
