how much do you think it will end up costing you in total? and anyone have an estimate on how much labor for this type of thing would cost? just a roundabout number... My mom kinda put my car in park w/o the parking break on a reeeaaaaal steep hill.....started rolling backwards with a beautiful grinding sound and is now undrivable.... Im trying to jip a manual tranny swap out of her instead of just replacing the auto....gotta know how much its gonna cost her.... :P

This one is hard to answer actually. It is possible to give you a parts total, but labor estimate would be difficult because I believe everyone who has done this did it themselves. Time is usually 2-3 days, unless some problems come up. If you are not doing the work yourself, you first need to find a shop that will actually do the work. It would be considered custom work.

I will be available if I can be of help.

To those who asked I still have an M56H for sale. $675.00 + shipping. Along with other parts all listed in the For Sale section...

Whoa, this really is an old thread, I need to finish my actual writeup thread :P Just never have the time to complete it.

Cost me around 2k with the spec clutch but I did all the work myself. As for time, would take a solid 2-3 days if you had not done it before. For someone with the tools/knowhow I think it could be done in a long day or a day and a half.

Anthony, didn't you revive the thread?
