Silicone Rad Hose For Cheap

I was checking ebay for silicone elbows for my DIY cold air intake when I stumbled acros this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=33602

I looked at it, and it looks almost identical to the Samco radiator hose kit I just bought. So I laid my new hose kit out and did some measuring and comparing to the picture. It's pretty darn close folks. You can't get much closer.

Now, I don't care because I already have a Samco hose kit, but if someone wants to order this kit, you would be doing all of us a great service because if it works that means we can all get silicone hoses for $40 instead of 3xs that.

I know it's OBX but they don't make the hose, only put their name on it. It's very good quality stuff, and 3-ply just like the Samco stuff. Lifetime warranty too!

The ID of the kit is identical to the Samco kit I have, and the lengths of the pieces are almost perfect. And the bends are SUPER close. They would only need to be tweaked slightly while installing, which should be no problem as the hose does have quite a bit of give before kinking, and the amount it needs to be tweaked is not enough to where the hose would kink at all. Also, on the long hose it would only need 1 or maybe 2 small sections cut off - I've outlined it here:

As you can see it's REALLY close. The angle on the Samco hose is different than the ebay one. So it doesn't look close in the pic but I am sitting here with the Samco hose in front of the computer holding it up to the ebay screen and it shoudl work.

Who wants to pony up $40 and be the guinea pig? Now granted, I'm not responsible for it if it doesn't work. It's up to you. I personally feel it is close enough to take the chance, so if I didn't have the Samco kit already I would do it.

I know this isnt really in the spirit if this forum, but dont fix everything that isnt broken ;)

stock coolant hoses are FINE and if anything a LOT more reliable than Samco hoses have been so far by the looks of things. I dont want to take chances on something as essential as a coolant hose. If you blow a turbo hose that at least doesnt threaten the engine.

Yeah, I need new hoses anyway, and had some Samcos that I got shafted on... Just wondering.
