Serge
Lowe's no longer carries Peel n Seal apparently. They said they carry an alternative that they say is thicker, stickier but slightly messier (because of the added stickiness). It should have the aluminum backing, right? It's just as cheap, too.. like 15 bucks for a 6" x 30' roll.
Serge
I got what they call Jiffy Seal. The stuff is uber sticky, very pliable, pretty thick and doesn't smell at all. My friend that covered many interiors before with other deadeners was impressed by it. Considering it was $16 for a 50ft roll.Eitherway, I did two doors, the left ones, and there is a definite improvement on the rear one compared to the opposite door. Serge
good work Serge, thanks for the heads up...←For sure. The only difference is that this stuff doesn't have an aluminum facing. However, it is VERY easy to work with and it is extremely sticky. If you get it on anything plastic, you have to really use some elbow grease to get it off! I am going to finish the other two doors today, since now the ones I didn't do rattle MORE!

Taking off the door panel inititally takes a minute max. When putting it back on, make sure you take the speaker fully off (I took off the door panels with just taking off one screw from the speaker that holds it in, upper-right-hand one usually). Makes it a lot easier to move the panel back in. It takes a bit of time to work the door panel back on because you'll have to fit it because of the deadener.I will try to work on it tomorrow, if not then definitely on Monday. I'll take pictures of the remainder of the doors.
Veneficus
Just a little note, jiffy seal tends to be more expensive. I was able to get a roll of peel and seal just last friday for $12.58.
