Serge
Just a little note, jiffy seal tends to be more expensive. I was able to get a roll of peel and seal just last friday for $12.58.←Hmm, that's a pretty significant difference. The local Lowe's doesn't carry Peel and Seal anymore, so I'm out of luck... 855T
Why does the Lowes here carry *nothing*? Bah, my tailgate sounds like it's filled with shredded plastic.
Bing_0
okay, hehe, maybe i should make osething clear, peel and seal is by no means the end all product out there, i merely like it cause its mad cheap and easy to work with and i can get it very easily in 100 sq foot rolls.basiclaly, any acoustical damper will work, be it silver, black, purple or torquoise...basically, if it sticky, easay to work with, it will work fine in your car so...if you can find something that fits the discription, go for it Bing

Mudman
Lowe's no longer carries Peel n Seal apparently. They said they carry an alternative that they say is thicker, stickier but slightly messier (because of the added stickiness). It should have the aluminum backing, right? It's just as cheap, too.. like 15 bucks for a 6" x 30' roll.←Fibre Glass-Evercoat makes pads in 12x12 og 16x16,These are alot less than dyna mat, you can find then at almost any autobody supplier. Serge
BeforeAfterMakes a huge difference.I also did the glove box. I took it out, and put a layer on the bottom, sides, and some on top. Then shoved it back in. I also took apart the door and put a few layers on both sides inside. Now the glove box door has a nice shud and doesn't rattle anymore (probably because it's heavier too).
Veneficus
Make sure you seal up the actual panel itself too. That was the big factor for me.
tomtbone
I am having problems finding peel and seal and Jiffy Seal or anything similar to it. WHen I go to Lowe's or Home Depot, what section should I look in for this stuff. I called Lowe's today and they said they don't carry Jiffy Seal. Kashif
I did this recently but I did not cover the galvanized part near the window motor. Does coverage here really make a big difference? The reason I am asking is because when I did the peel and seal, I did not not that much of a difference.
Serge
I did it just because it was another part that can rattle. On top of that, I was more interested in the contact between the metal and panel. But it definitely has made a difference. I can crank it up a lot louder and actually enjoy bass. Instead of crappy rattling.
