OMG, I can't wait til I get my 14T installed!!! Twisted EvilTwisted EvilTwisted Evil

I wana set my boost at like 1.2-1.3 (18-19psi). You think that would work ok?

I would REALLY like to get it to like 1.4 or about 20psi just to be able to say my car boosts 20psi. Laughing

I tried to set it to 1.3bar. I doesn't hold. 1.25 Bar it does.

I think you need some exhaust mods to allow that high boost. My exhaust is still stock.

BTW, make sure it can inject enough fuel. Injectors big enough (green or red Siemens will do) and maybe a chip to tell the ECU to inject enough fuel.

Also, watch out things don't get too hot.

okay well you guys i know this might sound like an idiotic question but here goes

I wanna get this. I am just gonna get the 1 from boostvalve.com. I think I can install it without any problems. But this is my question how do I set the boost on it? Like do I turn something on it? Or do I have to get the Turbo gauge that goes inside the car? I have everything stock 1.9 T 2004, so should I set the settings to 12 PSI? or less?

turbo gage like this http://www.carxpressions.com/images/performance/ractive/G10580_sm.jpg

Thanks

Do you have the gauge that's on the picture? If so you don't need another gauge.

Install the MBC, there's a knob on top, it's like a big bolt.

Drive, check the boost. If it's too low, turn the bolt so it goes deeper into the MBC, drive and check again etc..etc..etc..

appreciate it. nope I dont have the gauge, but it seems it would be better to get it, cuz a crazy ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD like me might put the boost extremely too high

thanks for the information

*also* does anyone know how to remove the stock solenoid properly? i know that one hose goes to the wastegate diaphragm, one goes to the intake line, and the third hose goes to a location near the turbo. if i disconnected the solenoid and replaced it with my MBC, which line do i *not* need to reconnect? someone had posted that you could leave one line left on the solenoid, but between the intake line and the one going near the turbo, im not sure which line it is that you are supposed to leave out. any help??

Old topic, but I dealt with this issue recently and figured I'd throw up the answer. You take the line running to the intake and simply remove it, then plug the hole that's in your intake. The line that was running to the wastegate actuator you plug into the output of the MBC, and you plug the remaining line into the input. What do with the actual sensor I haven't quite figured out, the car will run with it removed from the car, but I'm not sure what effect if any this has on the car. I'm not sure if I should reinstall it and cap it, or just leave it as is.

It's hard to say how sensitive it is, just use your boost gauge and adjust accordingly. I have found that the best way to install is to remove the BCS then cap off the hole left in the intake and all three vacuum connections on the BCS, however leave it plugged in to the harness. Then run the line coming from your turbo to the input of the MBC and the line going to the wastegate actuator on the output. I can take pictures if it will help, but it's really pretty self explanitory what's you get in there.
