Guest DougK
i guess it is the rca cable, i used a Y addaptor and connected the suposidly good channel cable to the amp, it did not go into protection even at the highest level input. i tried the otehr channel, it also didnt go into protection but the volum is less at the same input level. bass boost is 0db , oh well im going to get a new rca and try again.should the rca cables have same volum on them? and is the base signal sent to both channels at the same level(mono)?←Its possible that pulling on the RCA's to run them or whatever broke a connection ect. highhighs
i retried today, if i connrct both channels of teh rca cable it goes into protection mode, if i connect either channel alone using the Y addaptor it does not go into prot. mode.i baught a new cable but no time to try it so till later.but thier is a thing: how do u know when its clipping, i have the preamp out of the HU 2V but when i was adjusting the input level , even at the highest setting i didnt hear any clipping (or i didnt know it was clipping). the bass became a little loose but..., both the amp and the sub are 300Wrms. bogelo
How many subs are you running? Seems to me (from your diagram) that you are only running 1 subwoofer. If you are running mono bridge, check your amplifier manual. Some amplifier only need input on 1 channel (usually right channel). Need a full & detail diagram on how your system set-up or maybe a scan of your amp' manual. Everything is vague as of right now.You can use an L-shaped plates to mount your box. But always check what's underneath before you mount anything.
