How Do These Prices Sound?

Recommended Posts

3'' downpipe to full 3'' exhaust w/ 1 boiler muffler and greddy EVO2 exhaust/muffler

= $500 + whatever EVO2 is gonna run, prob 150.

(powder-coated machine polish in engine bay)

2.5 or 3'' FMIC piping, powder-coated machine polish = $500

Door handles shaved and repainted = $400

Poppers for doors = $500....probably another 100-150 for Viper alarm system w/ auxiliaries for doors.

All piping is cut + weld, not mandrel bent...but the quality is so high you can't even see the welds. Based on other work I've seen I'd recommend these guys to anyone in south FL, but I'll let you know how things go.

But yeah, decent prices for top-quality work? I don't want any responses of "oh my friend could do it for such and such," etc. Just want an idea 'cause I know other local shops are charging much higher and it's a screw, just want to know these are fair. :D thanks.

Yeah that's a sick price on the doorhandles. That's 500 using a FMIC I currently have (note my sig). With the downpipe/exhaust system running me about 650 that's cheap? I've seen much more expensive and much cheaper, both being crap work. This being amazing high quality.

I'd recommend getting the downpipe from a reputable source.

If it's a good shop, then what are you worried about?

I have seen custom one-off fab jobs that are on par with IPD/TME, VMS, BSR, etc.

Good materials and good welds go a long way. I know of a couple of shops in South Florida that I wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend.

And intercooler piping sounds $100-150 too high I think... Depends on your intercooler though.

I'm just wary of dirt cheap stuff. It makes me think dirt cheap quality.

Anyways, post pics of all this stuff before it's installed. :D

It's a small shop that a guy I just know opened. Hollywood in the warehouse district on 441, just before Hallandale. 25th street and 56th terrace I believe. I can give you his number once his shop is truly open and you can check out all the work. Or after you see my car.

Shaved and repainted for $400? Sorry, but you are not getting quality work at that price. Even shaving all 4 doors without repaint for $400 is cheap, but with repaint, no way. To properly repaint and blend the doors, you will almost be repainting both sides of the car. Sounds like a bondo job and spot painting.

The bodyshop my family uses would do it for 500, show quality. This shop doing it for 400 is equal I believe. Seen the work, it's good. It's this cheap 'cause the "shop" is a bay out in the ghetto Hollywood warehouse district of south FL.

edit: by the way like your rims. Chrome represent.
