Running Rich.

Hi Guys i am running a S70T5 with the following mods,Rica ecu,Blanked off cbv, reverse intercooler, dual piston dump valve and a MBC,Plugs are Nippon Denso Iridium IK22 with 26 thou gap.Could the colder plug be at fault?

I have had them in the car now for 400 miles so took them out yesterday to check them, and the plugs are quite sooty for such a short time,Not on the electrode but on the round flat face on the top of the plug,

There are no warning lights coming up on the dash car seems to run ok,Boosting to 21psi and holding in top gear, revs cleanly to 6300 rpm,

Wondered if anyone knew of anything that could be causing my over fuelling?

Many thanks Gary,

I and many others have had big problems with iridium plugs. Here is the thread with the pic of an iridium plug I took out of my car. I have since replaced them with cheap copper plugs and the car runs better overall and I've seen a jump in gas mileage and the plugs look great. No soot on the copper ones.

Like stated many times before :) ..with mods to the motor nothing burns better than copper. You just have to replace them more frequently ;) In my opinion you guys with mods should run nothing but copper plugs
