8501995
Hi,The "no gas left" indicator was turned on in my car, so I went to the gas station.I tried opening the door to remove the gas cap, but I just can't open the door!I have tried pulling really hard and I just can't do it.Is there anything that could block it? Is there a security lever or something? I have never had to do anything else to fill up the tank!So the car pretty much has to stay in the driveway until I can open that door, because there is no more gas!I have a Volvo 850 GLE 1995 if that can help. Thanks! merlin390
unlock the doors. If that still doesnt work pop the truck remove the inner lining on the passenger side and look for the pull handle to release it.

merlin390
Did you pull back the trunk lining on the passenger side of the trunk wall? and locate the metal pull/?
850R Sleeper
Go with Merlin on this one. There is an emergency release switch when you pull back the lining. Try that, mine wouldn't unlock last summer either and that's what I had to do. Good luck.
Plan_B
That's insane, the samething happened to me on Friday night!, I totally freaked and called my mechanic, luckly he was still working!.There is a metal ring next to the passenger rear tail light behind that creepy grey carpet, simply pull on it lightly! :D

T5BRICK
you could just unplug the locking mechanism.
Guest AlvinL
It happened top me before too. Try and lock/unlock your doors several times until it unlock. Sometimes it's just sticky. If all else fails then open the tailight cover access in your trunk to locate the ring like it's been described. In the past, with a previous 850, I've taken the motor out and cleaned the connection and re-installed. It's not a soldered connection so just clean the connection and re-insert the connector pins and away you go. Worked like a charm for me anyways... I may have to do this for my T-5R soon.
