I've never locked/unlocked it, but I also have never tried to open the fuel door w/ the doors locked either... any idea if my car has this option and it just isn't working?←it probably just isn't working.look in your trunk for that little wire loop dealie shown in bay13 link above. slarti
Mine did that from time to time also, but I think it's completely dead now since the last 2-3 times I've had to open it with manual release.
Zappo
Mine had a problem all winter, but when it started to warm up again it is working. The emergency release is something everyone should know about, obviously. Lucky for me, I had already read about it and knew what to do.
8501995
Thanks a lot guys!It worked, just took some time to find it, I was not able to see it but I passed my hand and found it.I then tried locking and unlocking the car but it was still getting stucked. A small shot of WD-40 and everything works fine again!
zimmy77
another good way of doing it is: put a little outward pressure on the door, like you were to open it. Lock and unlock your doors. it should retract.

Lock and unlock your doors. it should retract. That worked for me also. Then I tried to realign the locking pin and the hole in the door. I haven't had any further problems with it.
