pac
What's the best way to cut these aluminum pipes? Any particular tool?Is there a source that most recommend or is it just finding one on eBay?-thanks!
m4gician1568908566
you can use a hacksaw or handsaw...i've done it, just be careful of cutting yourself.
vv086
isn't the idea of a hacksaw going to be a you know what to cut with. Maybe a metal circular blade would be better and cleaner, just adding my two sense. Regardless i ordered the metal pipe and couplers off ebay and need to get it installed. I got the bov attached to the old rubber tubing so i will need to weld a small 1inch pipe off the middle, hopefully it won't be expensive at a welding, muffler shop. Also, Tom, was the measurements stated earlier a good fit or did you measure yours seperately? I don't want to make and accident and cut it too short. BlackWolf
If the welding is to expensive you can do it like i did with my BOV, just make sure the pipe end touches the intercooler and make a 30mm hole where the BOV comes slide the silicone T till over that hole so you can see it inside the small side on the T piece, this way you still have strong pipe like the others without BOV and the length is same.I saw it with handsaw, my tip is just measure and saw it couple mm longer and chek if it fits, repeat sawing till it fits perfectly, when you try to fit use the couplers to make sure everything fits together. And than like I told you above to make the hole for BOV install it to the T-piece and look for best position so you can mark the hole for BOV on the pipe. This is how my BOV is installed: I think it is cheaper than welding.
