Alex, a bigger exhaust is coming in probably in March or April, as my warranty expires in the middle of February. I want to do a 2.5 inch catback, and I guess I'll still keep the 2 cats coz i dont want to worry about inspection (save it warren...i know i know). Have you considered doing yours? maybe we can get a group discount somewhere? ...i think it would be cehaper to purchase the cats online anyhow and just have someone do the welding...after that some 17's and g4's.... i hope it happens before Florida.... GerBeGurGya Posted January 23, 2007 Report Share Posted January 23, 2007 I have completely different idea about upgrading the exhaust.I'm desperate to find a nice manifold and I'll cut the 2nd CAT and resonator.I want it to keep somewhat quiet but with a much better flow.You do the flex piece as well as I have it done already.Its a shame no one seems to carry the manifold for the S40 I guess it will be a custom made one.Are you still doing the 14T swap? Should bring back some life to the car. oh, and you can get a used low mileage manifold online, and have it ported and polished for relatively cheap. (See here for more details)But since i want a waterinjection on same pipe i am not sure if i fit it there, i think i will fit the dump valve on the turbo to IC piping but some people say that is to hot there, and the other say it is the perfect place since it is closer to the turbo.
