Modus Posted May 24, 2006 Report Share Posted May 24, 2006 I really need to investigate with more time with mine. I didn't see any cracks. It's all conformally coated. You can open it with out cutting, you have to press the holding clips in the opposite direction, i used a small wratchet socket with a hammer to do that. The cover then popps off with minimal force.I did take a picture of it. however again i'm hard pressed to find these cracks on my own. I proberly won't get it repaired till I really need a new one when i'm done with it. is that the connector on the right side? where i should be looking for. i'm guessing these are hair line cracks?does the circuit card come out of this housing?thanksDrew Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
gdizzle Posted August 26, 2007 Report Share Posted August 26, 2007 Bumping this topic. Opened up a bad ABS module and this what I found. I didn't just find cracked solder on the two power prongs, but also on the data connector, 9 pins were cracked on this side and the two power prongs were as well.
