gronberg
Nice, nice. That's going to be a fast soda can How about side exhaust right infront of the rear tire. I think that would look nice, but then again would the TUV be ok with that?

JHEIII874T5M
nearly 2900 pounds? Florian, is that right?
volflo
it is. incl. all the 30m of CrMo-tubing it still came down to exactly 1300kgs (though the scales are just exact to 10kgs (20lbs))so yes its 2866lbs. (with a distribution of 61 to 39) and THAT has to be changed.Anyway we are still fighting to to keep UNDER 1300kg: 1290 sound so much nicer.o by the way a M3 CSL is almost 100kgs (~200lbs) heavier....without a 160 lbs something roll cage.... volflo
okok. i guess i cant keep for myself: the steering is volvo OEM. iots airbagless and fits the 850 plug'n play. but the horn doesnt work with it....
volflo
Nice touch on the rear door, but kinda takes away from the look of the car. Maybe should have welded it from the inside, while keeping the seem. Darn, I shoulda photoshopped for you the look before you went and did it.Oh yeah, how much weight was lost in this project since you last weighed it?←it was lost about another 100 kgs (80 were added up by roll cage and additional stuff) so its 20kg lighter than before.yeah the paitn shop messed it up: i wanted to keep a black seem around the door but they painted it anyway i am sure that the paint will come of at the seams anyway, and then they ll have to redo it. .
