Face it, we don't use the tape deck anymore. At least I don't. So, why take away a perfectly good CD-Changer input and use the auxilliary input for that? Is there a way to tap into the audio wires in the tape deck and utilize that for an auxilliary input? Like, rather than using a crappy tape type car kit, why can't we just run some kind of wires into the tape deck instead?

i'll look into that

everythings all digital anyway

i don't have my 811 anymore, but from what i remember, selecting tape had a button (unlike my 710 which just played when a tape was inserted)

Here is one fitted to an aftermarket changer adapter (VOLIL). I need to use the cable that connects to the back of your radio to build it. To switch between aux and changer, you press pause, then CD6. No extra switches you have to mount anyehere. The aux inputs are $55 ea.

So, if I want one I have to send you the wire that goes to my radio? I'd like to have one of these, but how would I go about getting you that wire? And the back of my radio has a few plugs going into it.

the wire that you send is the changer wire that plugs into the changer port on the radio. The reason I reccommend you send it is b/c:

1) there are many installation setups downstream to the changer and this ensures compatibility with factory and aftermarket changers.

2) the CD changer plug on the back of the radio is proprietary and sending the wire you already have makes my life easier.

3) you can mark on the wire where you want your aux-in module to go (behind the radio or next to your changer)

If you have an aftermarket alpine changer and are just using a VOLALP (93-95 model radios) straight through connector (small 8-pin DIN male on one side and large, AT-style 8-pin DIN female on the other) then you don't need to send anything as I have a stock of these already and will use one. It will be an extra charge of $12 for this, though.

Hi,

I am needing the VOLALP. Could you sell me one?

It would be to dispatch to Miami, FL.

Thanks
