Slater
yea those are neat, heating the o2 probe up. great link man thanks←No problemo. It's cheap, easy, effective, and reuseable. Most of all no electronics, no moving parts, no cutting of wire, etc.

Slater
have you tried it yet? is it a scam? I'm interested but I'll wait to see what you got to say...←Yeah, it works. I've used it on previous cars (even though the auction says WRX).I bought one for my car now but don't need it until I get a new down pipe. Aequitas_Veritas
any reason it says non-permanent? I would like to get this instead of getting a new O2 sensor, since im already throwing a code for one
Chris_R
So it just spaces the sensor so that it's out of the direct exhaust path a little?Keeps the sensro from inhaling too deeply? Kinda lets it get a whiff of the exhaust instead of a full snort. Me likey! On second glance it looks like 2 half-inch spacers. What could those cost? 2 bucks each?I'll bet McMaster-Carr sells them. I'm sure it's some sort of off-the-shelf part - it certainly doesn't look like something some small machine shop made. Actually looks more like one of those spark plug adapters that comes with compression gauges...You're right on how it works - by moving the 02 out of the exhaust stream it reads less 02 and thus "leaner" and thinks there is a cat there.- Slater
