tcode1568908558
Thanks . I need a few more bits before starting the forged engine build.
Sute1568908560
Which cams are you planning to put in? Pretty mild on the exhaust side, I guess? No valve pockets on the exhaust side. I have 263 degrees measured @ 1,0mm clearance (12,3mm lift) on the intake and 252 degrees @ 1,0 clearance (11,8mm lift) on the exhaust. With 0 clearance those are nearly 300 / 290 degrees... Danilis
Very impressive numbers so far! i wish for your new engine to pass over your targets and expectations. it's impressive the good breathing from the oem head. If i remember correct yours was not ported and it had just a NA inlet cam. i think 450hp and 500nm, was limit for this engine and turbine as well. I'll keep n/a cams for a while, can't do anything with the head at the moment. Those cams you're having looks wild . I'm wondering how will your idle look like. Where did you get those cams and how much?

Yes, you are absolutely right, turbo was squeezed to the max too .

I would advice a bit more of compression (~9-9,3) in order to run lower boost levels and be in a better efficiency places of the compressor's maps. tcode1568908558
Depends of the turbocharger choice. And how it seems I won't be long on GT30 .

Where did you get those cams and how much? They were first welded to get more material on noses of the cam and then grinded to the desired shape and finally nitrated in order to make the noses last. The base circle is as in stock cam. They are originally Autotech cams, 10,5 / 260 degrees...The idle depends a lot from the cam setup. For "smooth" idle, the intake will be delayed and exhaust advanced and for race set up vice versa. It is for sure the idle will suffer, but I hope I pass the smog test..
