SIAMBLUE
Spent most of the day picking up my new wheels,Anyway got the new 18s on the car,It is now running 225/40s instead of 235/40s no rubbing at all and no spacers needed on the rears either,I am more than happy. They haven't been cleaned yet,and i need 2 new front tyres,So i will fit Michellin Pilots or Prada's cuz i love the tread pattern,Gary.PS Now you know why the Nebula's had to go.Side view, all i need now is the BTCC colours

prasamin
looks good dawg....im guessing those are 18's, and you need to change it in your sig....also, if you don't mind, how much did you drop on em?....with or without tires, and they are used right?-Pras-
yangotang
FWIW, I wanted to get Parada Spec-2's mounted on my car, but the salesperson informed me that Yokohama is going to drop the line in about 2 months in order to promote their new Advan line. This means that if a tire should blow out, it would require that you purchase two new tires (Parada tires aren't supposed to be mis-matched). This is the reason why i didn't buy the Parada Spec-2 tires.

amsmas51
i wouldnt go with the pilots, i have them on my GTI they are good for regular driving, but for tight cornering i wouldnt suggest it.
SIAMBLUE
Thanks for all your feedback,Thats what i love about this site Everyone is manic about their cars,We all love them and i can't see another car to replace mine,I am buying lowering springs this week, and new shocks as mine are too far gone now,Its got 143k on the clock and they are weak as hell,The thing i love about the Tritons against the Nebs are the finish of silver the Nebs were just too bling in your face,Whereas the Tritons are a plain silver,About the tyres,I have just bought one 225/40/18 Pilot,Think i will have to sell it,and get a 225/35/18,Probably be Eagle F1s as i had them before and they were great tyres even in the wet.Gary. Nebor
You're lowering it? Won't that cause big rub problems?
SIAMBLUE
You're lowering it? Won't that cause big rub problems?←Probably will rub with the 225/40s,But if i go down a profile on the front it might be ok,Unless i go 215/35/18s which would be the cheaper option and even better. WhiteT5
Excellent choice sir! It's the choice I voted for . Someone mentioned those wheels being heavy. Did you get that impression? Are they heavier than the Nebs? Any guess on the weight?Car looks hot!
SIAMBLUE
I didn't get chance to weigh the Tritons but they felt quite a bit lighter than the Nebs.Probably down to a smaller tyre and less material on the wheel itself.
