Pacakge Tray 6x9s

I've seen some other threads (that were left unanswered - not here) that there seems to be a common problem with the rear deck 6x9 speakers not working.

Is there a common fix or reason why this happens. I want to get a new deck + iPod module this week, but also want to make sure i have a fully functional speaker system and suspect that the dudes where i'll get this done (not sure yet) will have no clue about what volvo specific problem is happeneing.

Alternativly, should i just take it in, and when i get it back if the rear 6x9s don't work should i tell them that they broke them and make them fix the problem? ;)

One of mine was broken when I got my car. The middle magnet sort of thing came loose and fell onto the paper cone, thus preventing it from making any sound. Easy fix though. Just have to take the speaker out and put the middle thing (Does it have a name?) back into it's original position and it works. I suppose you could also just throw some aftermarket 6 x 9's in there for really cheap too.

That isn't always a fix though, the same thing had happened in my car, but the magnet had been off for so long, attached to the bottom one, that the paper didn't move, so even once the magnets were back in place, there was nothing for sound.

I don't want to go buy new 6x9s only to have it be a wiring problem.

Logically i think that if there were to be a wiring problem it would be at the deck or at the speaker isn't that a sound (no pun intended) assumption?
