beachnut Posted April 23, 2005 Report Share Posted April 23, 2005 You *could* wash the car with Dawn to remove the old wax, but I would only do that no more than 2-3 times per year. But I disagree, a good claying will knock mos,t if not all, the wax off. If the wax has been on the car for any length of time like 4-6 weeks, it's pretty much gone anyway. Any wax that a clay bar doesn't remove will get removed by the next step if you plan on using a cleaner polish. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
