Slater
Bump for progress??←I am not 100% sure I will be going forward with this. The buyin to become a dealer is too much $$. If everyone who wanted a kit was going to buy one of the kits with t-clamps I would do it, but since everyone just wants a hose kit, I would have to sell 250 kits just to meet the buy-in. That ain't gonna happen unless there's a miracle...If anyone else can figure out another way, I would like to hear it.- Slater
crc1185
I'm kind of new around here, but this thread sounds very interesting. I'm about ready to get started doing stage 0 stuff on my 850, and if you were to do this buy, I would certainly be interested in a full kit with everything to replace the hoses (blue probably). Unfortunately it doesn't sound like its gonna work out... I would like to see some good directions for changing the hoses though, maybe some pictures? If anyone is up to writing something like this up, that would be amazing! B)
Geevs
Slater, thanks for the update. I would agree that it may not be worth your T&M if it's just the hoses for sale. HTS has an eBay webstore and they are selling their hoses there even cheaper than at their website. Plus the shipping via eBay is a flat $5. I think you are right the folks here would be better off buying directly from HTS via eBay. But the thing that most folks here would really like to see is some kind of 'definitive guide' to replacing the vacuum hoses. The write-up by Gregg and White850T (?) is pretty much the guide now and for whatever reason it's still not pinned!by the way, the HTS eBay price is a Buy-it-now not an auction. Seach eBay on 'silicone hoses'.
Jeph430
This is their ebay store for the vac hoses. HTS Shipping is also a huge savings by goin ebay.
nilspils
I know this is an old thread. Been searching around here for some of the different sizes of vacuum hose I will need for my friends 850.Then I saw a google ad on one of these pages for StylinMotors. They have kits for much less than HTS, Samco or HT. Price by the foot is much cheaper too. Some of you were wondering what to do with the extra hose. Here are some of the things I've done with it in the past.Wiper wash hose replaced with the 3.5mmcoolant overflow hose replaced with 8mmKit I got before from HT came with one of those razor letter opener. I slit the hose and used the 6,8 and 10mm as engine dress. Covered up wires fuel lines etc. Anything that I could fit in the hose I put in. Looks real slick. you can check them out at http://www.stlylinmotors.vacuumhose.htmlDoes anyone know what size the vac lines off the manifold in the 850 are. It is my friends car, so I can't look at it. and wanted to order today so we could do it tomorrow.
