Closing the sunroof from vent to close or open to close would just take it from vent to open; vice versa. Thinking that it was the switch, I finally got around to replacing it nearly a year later. Now, the sunroof is stuck open in the vent position when I went to test it. It will not close or go back in the opposite direction. I can hear a click when I press the vent position, but nothing in the open/close position. Is there a manual override to crank it close? Or is that only for 850s? And if not, can I take off the motor and close the sunroof manually?Also, what is the likely part malfunctioning? Motor or control module?Thanks! NEU Posted August 26, 2015 Report Share Posted August 26, 2015 Hey Kit, I'm not 100% sure about the issue, but maybe play with the first switch to see if it still does the same thing. The other thing is do you hear the motor run but not move the sunroof? And you have ever been able to close the sunroof? just open or vent? Does it go to the first stop when opening? before fully open. BTW not sure about C&C @Katies. But never say never... You should into the new C&C at the Corner Baker @Montgomery Mall (Sat AM) or Cameron's Coffee in Fairfax (Sun AM). I don't think there's anything wrong with the switch, I tried a different switch and it was the same thing. I do hear a click when I press the button. I was able to play around with the switch and was able to get the sunroof closed. And I left it at that.... LOL Not opening it anymore. At least not until I'm ready to diagnose and remedy the issue. Also is the C&C @ Mont mall weekly/monthly?ALSO going to shake shack Sunday?I probably misread that as Montgomeryville (which also has a mall) and you guys are in a different state altogether, sry.
