Most likely you will have to take the block out.

Phixion
It's most likely going to require a complete engine pull. Tranny comes out with the engine of course, and then you can split the two from there. When I had an engine replacement on my S40 at the beginning of this year, the shop dropped the engine out from the bottom and put the "new" one in the same way. s40speed
Ok can it be lifted out I don't have a lift doing it myself and my garage doesn't have clearance for a lift and can I unbolt the the tranny and just pull the block out or do they have to come out together

s40speed
Ok cool I have it tore down to just a block planning on lifting it out by hand so all I have to to is remove the transmission bolts and it will separate from the tranny right
s40speed
Ok guys I got a hold of vivaperformance they are hooking me up with every thing from the connecting rods to to valve springs and retainers and everything in between so my question is with a fully built motor like that what is the max boost I can run I'm hoping 30 to 35psi I understand that I need to do a trans swap and have it tuned for the added boost but what else do I need to do? Do I need bigger injectors I have red top ones now please help me out what other upgrades do I need to do to make this possible can a 14t turbo make that kind of boost not worried about$ I'm single no kids and 3 jobs any input appreciated
theForgottenone
You need someone can tune your car. That is the biggest issue of having bigger turbo. 14t won't do much beyond 250hp
s40speed
I'm not trying to go with a bigger turbo than a 14t just want to run the max boost I can I'm not looking for the turbo to do it all looking for any power I can get ya know
