fourbangin3315
Dam. My timing belt popped off. Was on freeway and car shut down. Pulled over and looked to see what was wrong. Didn't notice anything at first then looked under cover and belt was off. Not broken but just came off. Few months ago a shop changed belt, water pump cam shafts and seal s so I PRAY that they fix it. It's only been 13,000 miles since. If not I don't know what to do. Just fix valves if bent, or get new motor? This car was my first Volvo that my wife got for my day and fathers day (same day) . Info? please. theForgottenone
if the shop changed the belt, I would tow to that shop and let them fixed it since it is their fault. If anything damage, it should be on their dime.

Welditup
Ugh, that's painful to hear. Unfortunately some(most) shops will try to weasel themselves out of fixing it on their dime. Dig your feet in the sand and don't budge. They obviously messed up your car and its their fault. Get some free consultation from a lawyer and take it from there is what I would do. Don't forward any information to this shop that you don't need to. You could be looking at $500-1500 for this repair. If your engine is modded at all it wouldn't hurt to throw on the stock parts for your sake so they cant blame if on that.
