BrendanF Posted October 2, 2015 Report Share Posted October 2, 2015 Hey all, Just purchased a silver 1998 v70r with lots and lots of miles on it...car seems to be in general good shape, but as you can imagine it need some work but i'm ready to invest in it. The main thing is the power steering - there is PS fluid dripping from the subframe so it looks like the pump is leaking...the pump is also whining quite a bit. It is definitely a gray top - looks like a ford tank and top...if that makes sense? If the pump is making a loud whine its most likely toast no? If it is an '98 then previous owners have done some upgrades.Like dual exhaust, & Pegs. Those came with 2000's. Any other upgrades that you are aware of? NEU Posted November 9, 2015 Report Share Posted November 9, 2015 They both have 5 spokes and the letter "R", yes... But considering that 17" Sats are UBER rare and that they came in 16" I'd say no... Trust me 16" Sats don't look like 17/18" Pegs. Titans also have are 5 spoke without the "R". As you see the biggest difference is the spokes at the rim and hub.
