Welditup
Sup guys, I just picked me up a niiice white 2000 volvo s40 (us edition). My old s40 transmission crapped out on me so I'm using the old car for spare parts. I'll have some pics of her soon but its kinda late here and just got home, lol. She's got 132,000 miles, fully loaded, sunroof, leather seats, power seats. I'm going to take a closer look at the suspension tomorrow cause its making a rattling noise. I suspect bushings or something to be worn out and the fuel pump is getting a little tired too( its making a whining noise).

Welditup
Yes, both are phase one. I just got back from my mechanic and its the stabilizer bushing on the passenger side.

Strut mount if those are older style The price only came out to $48 for stabilizer bushing, bracket and bolt from the volvo dealership. I'm slacking terribly on the pictures on my car because the weather here has been 0 degrees lately and dont have the patience to clean her in the cold, lol. The turbo loves the cold though. Once the weather warms up I'll be swapping my 3" downpipe ---> 2.5" exhaust from the old s40. I just need to make a 3" flange off the turbo to make it a "true" 3" downpipe. Getting my boost gauge in anyday now along with a satin black turbo badge to throw on the trunk somewhere.

Welditup
I got my boost gauge hooked up and I'm seeing a solid 5psi of boost at WOT. In neutral the vacuum is around -22 to -24psi. My butt dyno was right though, the new car is faster than my old modded s40,lol. I did a timed pull from 50-100mph and averaged mid 13's using the same video clip with the new car, the old s40 averaged mid 15's(mods;2nd cat delete,1st muffler delete,3" downpipe off first cat, 3" flexpipe into 2.5 inch to muffler, and 3" fenderwall intake to stock air box on stock boost). She ran a 16.1@ 86mph at New England dragway last summer. Can't wait to open up the exhaust on the new ride with 10psi. WOooooo!! I'm knockin on high 14's very soon. Shredder1568908593
What type (brand?) of boost gauge is that? I like the install location. Been thinking about installing a gauge on my 2004 V40 and I'll probably do it in that same spot.
theForgottenone
I prefer the pillar location or near the dash tweeter. How you gonna keep your eyes on the road trying to look at the boost?
Welditup
Its a bosch boost gauge. Yes its not a good location but for stealth purposes its awesome! When the funds come in I want to get all matching autometer gauges with the pillar pod mount.
