Transmission go boooom!

Did some wrenching on the old s40 for parts today. Took the exhaust header and turbo off and discovered the big hole behind the transmission( a little smaller than a baseball.) I put my hand in there and felt a gear about 4" in diameter was blown and floating around in the casing. Does anyone know exactly what I blew in the tranny? I'll get a picture tomorrow but the hole is located on the furthers side of the tranny towards the passenger side axle. On the plus side my old 12t is in mint condition, the wheel has zero shaft play and fins are looking good too!

I didn't even have a MBC on the car so my hp/tq was almost stock levels, just exhaust and intake mods. I guess those harsh 2nd shifts took its toll when the tranny was on its way out. Got another week wrenchin on the parts car and off it goes to the junkyard.

I don't, I got crazy and used a zawzall to cut the intake tube off the turbo,lol. I still have a oem intake tube on my current car. When I do my custom intake from turbo to fender wall I'll pm you.

You got the tube the feed the air from fender to the OEM airbox?

Yes but wont be changing it out until I get all my materials for my turbo to fenderwall intake. Its on my daily driver so I'll keep you posted when I take it off for the custom one.
