Looks like its pretty easy taking those strut mounts off just looking at the pictures online, never done it before. I'm working on both s40s this weekend and I'll have a better idea then when I see the struts in person. You can have the strut mounts for free if they come off without getting damaged, just pay for shipping. You need any interior pieces? My 2001 s40 has nearly mint condition dark grey leather interior.

Any update on the strut mounts

Hey xcites. Honestly I haven't had time to turn the wrench on her yet. Hoping my babysitter comes through on Saturday so I can get to work. I have a deadline to get my car outta storage, 5/9/16 :(

LMAO, shes only 3 so its nothing but more time consuming to work on my car. She actually enjoyed the fire to my suprise, lol. Very thankful this didnt happen on the highway or a long ways from home. I was literally only an 1/8th mile from my driveway when the fire started.

I was able to salvage my floor mats,MBC, aftermarket stereo deck, turbo badge(aftermarket), and a car seat, lol. I really wanted to save the turbo but the intake boot and plastics melted around the turbo. I still have a spare 12t and a 13g(2000 xc70) turbo. The car is located in billerica, mass if anyone is interested in the tranny. Tranny held strong at 200whp before she died.
