Kestas
The exhaust flex pipe developed a hole in my 2002 S40. This is a stock exhaust system, and the flex coupling was replaced once already by a shop. They welded it in. Does anyone sell a drop-in replacement flex coupling? I know I'll probably have to use a die grinder to remove the old flex pipe and dress the old pipes. How are these flex pipes generally replaced by the DIYers? Are they clamped on? TEEKAY
If you're just welding the flex joint you'd need to grind and weld. I did this one in a garage, had to pry the rear bits back. You would need to use a grinder on this one and fit it to the existing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Exhaust-Pipe-Flange-Flex-Repairs-FX-Exhaust-FX2083-fits-00-04-Volvo-V40-1-9L-L4-/121979352873
Kestas
Thanks. I went to the local muffler shop. They had the right part in stock and welded it in. $120 and 20 minutes later, it's done.
Welditup
Now you just need a 1st muffler and 2nd cat delete. Did you stick with the oem size on the pipe or go larger?
