2000c70hpt Posted February 16, 2020 Report Share Posted February 16, 2020 Hey guys and girls. Fresh meat here, but have a few questions about my car. It’s a 2000 c70 2.3 hpt car with an ets light, recline for the drivers seat doesn’t work and excess vibration coming from the engine. So etm was replaced about 15k miles ago, from the dealer, and recently came back on. I’ve tried clearing the codes and replacing the unit with a known good one out of a friends 2003 c70. The only thing in my research that I could find was the brake position sensor mounted in the booster was bad and causing the issue. Am I correct by assuming that I need a new sensor or does this sound like the etm has gone bad again? Now the power seat issue is a weird one. I got the car with the seat not working at all, so I replaced the switch module with a new one and I was able to get most function back for the seat. Now my car has a seat module under the seat and I figured it might have gotten wet so I replaced it too. Recline still does not work and that motor has to stay disconnected or the whole seat stops working. What do you think is the issue? Also my ecc won’t come on unless the ambient temp is above 72.
