Uncle Boost
show me one person who's figured it out. there have been threads after threads about it.Had 2 remotes non of which worked and came with the car. 96 855RBought 1 off Ebay for $40, Brand new in a tiny OEM volvo box. Impressive.Mail man comes one day...Box in hand! programmed in 10 seconds (after new batteries installed).Puzzled about why the 2 that came with the car didn't work.NOw see this is just me in this next paragraph.....I have a Frequency counter and saw that the 2 originals did not transmit on the same Freq as the one I had just bought.Opened up the suspected remotes and found a tiny capacitor had come loose off the PCB from either being dropped or bad solder joints.Resoldered the Caps and check the Freq...Alllllaaaah! Same Frequency. all 3 remotes programmed now. So having said that, It may be a common thingwith these Capacitors falling off inside the remote. If you go thru the procedure for programming and it never takes, I would open the remote to see ifthe cap has fallen off.The Brand New remote!! Notice how this remote is not labled correctly!!!!Old remote.......Capacitor that fell off.
